about

The recordings that form "Selected Short Stories" were recorded in Keynes College at The University of Kent in 1972 and 1973 with the exception of "I Met A Man" and "Never In My Life" which were recorded and released on Gaynor's debut split LP with Dev Singh, "The Reason I Like You" in 1977. Mike Myerson added some arrangements to these two songs in 1979/80.

Mike Myerson recently got in touch with Aiden Canaday, Gaynor's eldest son, to share these recordings that he'd been sitting on for nearly 50 years. Aiden and his brother Dorian have been looking through Gaynor's work since she passed away in 2015 and were absolutely blown away by this collection of songs and wanted to share them on a wider scale. Releasing them on Sun 3rd May 2020, 5 years to the day that Gaynor last recorded any music.

All proceeds will be donated to Target Ovarian Cancer www.targetovariancancer.org.uk/fundraising/trusts-and-foundations
